Install guide
Install OnliBox in under a minute
Three steps, no account, no desktop software. If anything goes sideways, the troubleshooting section below covers what usually goes wrong.
- 1
Open the store listing
Click the install button on this page. It takes you to the OnliBox listing in the Chrome Web Store, which also works for Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi.

Add it to your browser
Press Add to Chrome, then confirm the permissions prompt. OnliBox needs access to the page you are on so it can spot the video streams behind it.

Pin it to the toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar and pin OnliBox. Keeping it visible means the icon can tell you when a page has something downloadable.

Once it is installed
Open any page with a video
Let the player load, or start playback for a second. OnliBox reads the streams as the page requests them.
Watch for the badge
A number on the OnliBox icon tells you how many downloadable sources it has found on the current tab.
Click, choose, download
Open the popup, pick the quality or the audio-only option, and the file saves straight to your computer.
If something goes wrong
The OnliBox icon is not showing up
It is probably hidden in the extensions overflow menu. Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar and pin OnliBox so it stays on the toolbar.
The icon is there, but no video is detected
Start playback for a second and check again — many players only request the stream once you press play. Reloading the page with the extension already installed also helps, since OnliBox needs to see the network requests as they happen.
How do I install it on Edge, Brave or Opera?
Open the Chrome Web Store listing in that browser and allow extensions from other stores when prompted. Edge shows a banner offering exactly that; Brave, Opera and Vivaldi install Chrome extensions directly.
My work computer blocks the installation
Managed devices often restrict which extensions can be installed. You will need your IT administrator to allow OnliBox, or to install it on a personal device instead.
